Melissa Lee — Founder & Owner
With 30 years of experience in Toronto's film and television industry, Melissa Lee is the Founder and Owner of ML Talent Agency, which she has operated for more than 27 years.
After graduating with a degree in Sociology from the University of Western Ontario, Melissa began her career in the film industry as an in-house talent agent. She went on to work with Toronto Casting, gaining valuable experience in the background talent industry. Melissa also worked as a freelance IATSE member, gaining additional experience within the film and television production environment.
Her career experience also includes working with renowned casting director Stephanie Gorin and separately working as a freelance assistant producer at Partners Film Company.
In 1999, Melissa founded her own talent agency. In 2013, the company was rebranded as ML Talent Agency. Melissa later spearheaded the development of the agency's searchable online talent database, giving casting directors and producers efficient access to talent profiles and information.
Melissa is also a founding member and Co-Chair of the Toronto Talent Agent Association (TTAA).
